UTRECHT
Koen Leurs is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. He is a team member of Wired Up, a research project focusing on digital media as innovative socialization practices for migrant youth. Koen examines the gendered and ethnic interfacing of digital technologies, migration, and (global) youth cultures. Koen conducted his earlier studies at Utrecht University and the National University of Singapore. Recent publications include "Performing gender and ethnicity in socio-technological networks: entangling feminist technoscience and post-colonial theory" (International Journal for Feminist Technoscience, 2009).
